Andrew Pierce met Ashley Hudson at the church they attended in Hamburg. The two knew at that point that they were a match made in heaven. Ashley at the time was just 17 at the time and not having been in a relationship before, was patient with Andrew. Then it became love at first sight. The day before New Year's Eve, just before the new year began, Andrew asked God to grant him one last thing that year... in the hope that Ashley would accept and get married to him. Ashley was determined to create the wedding of a wooden theme that would truly represent her and Andrew. The couple teamed up their favourite things in their wedding. The place they chose was the 40 acres back of the land Ashley has grown up on. From the trail they walked through the field to where in which the couple proposed in. Ashley was a keen observer and played on all of it. Andrew and Ashley strolled through the exact place when they started together. Because almost everything was made by the bride and groom it was essential to personalize the wedding. Andrew's dad and Ashley as well as Ashley constructed the ceremony and arches for the seats. Ashley made and painted several of the wedding decors. Ashley states that if it wasn't for Anna's amazing floral designs, the wedding would not have been so magical as I wanted. truly breathtaking.
